IVF and IUI Acupuncture on the South Shore

An IVF cycle is weeks of injections, bloodwork, early-morning monitoring and waiting. Your body is under heavy hormonal load and your mind is running every scenario. We give your body focused care through each phase of the cycle, timed to your protocol.

Is acupuncture for IVF worth it?

Absolutely. We see meaningful changes in our patients throughout the IVF process, and we've worked with many patients who went on to achieve successful pregnancies after multiple failed transfers. Many credit acupuncture as an important part of that success. While no treatment guarantees pregnancy, our fertility acupuncture protocols focus on improving reproductive health, supporting the body's response to fertility treatment, and addressing the physical and emotional demands of IVF. Patients also report better sleep, fewer medication-related symptoms, and feeling calmer and more grounded throughout the process.

When should I start?

Ideally 3 months before your retrieval, because the eggs you retrieve begin developing about 90 days earlier. If your cycle starts sooner, start now. We plan around the time you have.

What do you treat at each stage?

3 Months Before : Cycle regularity, sleep, digestion, stress, egg quality foundations, hormone regulation
Stimulation : Bloating, headaches, mood, medication side effects, continuing to regulate hormones and work on egg quality
After Retrieval : Recovery, cramping, bloating, prepping body for transfer
Before and After Transfer : Calming the nervous system, uterine blood flow, the two-week wait
Frozen Transfer Prep : Lining development, cycle timing

What about IUI?

IUI cycles move faster, so we time treatments around your trigger shot and insemination. It is still important to lay as much groundwork as possible in the 3 months, like with IVF.

What if this cycle doesn't work?

We are still here. We treat you through a failed cycle, a loss, and the decision about what comes next. Many patients tell us this is when they need us most.

Who treats me?

You are treated by a Massachusetts Licensed Acupuncturist who specializes in fertility, IVF and prenatal care. Patients come to us from Rockland, Hingham, Hanover, Norwell, Weymouth, Braintree, Plymouth and across the South Shore.
