Acupuncture for Peripheral Neuropathy in Rockland, MA

Burning feet at night. Numb toes that make you unsure of the stairs. Pins and needles in your hands that wake you up. Neuropathy wears you down, and most people are offered medication that dulls the pain without changing what is happening in the nerves.

We treat neuropathy with acupuncture, electrostim and ATP Resonance BioTherapy®, a low-level electrical treatment that targets circulation and inflammation in the affected areas.

What kinds of neuropathy do you treat?

  • Diabetic neuropathy

  • Chemotherapy-induced neuropathy

  • Idiopathic neuropathy (no known cause)

  • Neuropathy after injury or surgery

  • Small fiber neuropathy

  • Neuropathy alongside autoimmune conditions

What does treatment target?

  • Burning, tingling and electric pain

  • Numbness in the feet, legs and hands

  • Cramping and twitching at night

  • Balance and confidence walking

  • Sleep lost to nerve pain

Why didn't acupuncture last when I tried it before?

This is the most common thing we hear. Nerve tissue changes slowly, and one or two visits rarely hold. Patients who get lasting change commit to a full course of care, usually 2-3 visits a week to start. That is why we build a treatment program with you on day one, so you know the timeline and the plan before you begin.

How many treatments will I need?

Most neuropathy patients start with 2-3 visits a week for anywhere from 2-6 months, with the amount of visits per week changing as there is improvement. The length of time depends on the severity of the condition and any other compounding factors. We go over your health history in detail and will be transparent about costs and what the treatment plan looks like before you start.

What is ATP Resonance BioTherapy®?

ATP is a non-invasive treatment that delivers a mild electrical current at specific frequencies. We use it to increase circulation and reduce inflammation in the nerves of the feet and hands. It is painless, and most patients find it relaxing. Learn more about ATP »
